Soccer Star Kristine Lilly to Volunteer at Tim Cahill Campaign Headquarters 

World renowned professional soccer player Kristine Lilly is showing her support for Tim Cahill, the Independent candidate for Governor.  Lilly, a vital member of the Boston Breakers, will spend this Thursday evening at Cahill campaign headquarters in Quincy.  She will meet with Tim’s supporters and volunteer her time reaching out to voters and sharing his vision for Massachusetts.

“I am honored and pleased to receive the support of Kristine as the campaign progresses,” said Cahill.  “Based upon her impressive career, she certainly knows what it takes to win, especially in a competitive atmosphere.  I continue to believe that we have the best team of volunteers and supporters.”

Lilly, who is in her second stint with the Boston Breakers, is also a long time veteran of the U.S. Women’s National Team.  Her accolades include four NCAA Championships at the University of North Carolina (1989-1992), two Olympic gold medals (1996 and 2004) and two FIFA Women’s World Cup Championships (1991 and 1999).  Lilly, who currently resides in Needham with her husband and daughter, also champions several charitable organizations.
